Gunsen: The Battle for Toshi Ranbo

The Great Clans of Rokugan go to war for the most contested fortress in the Emerald Empire. Gunsen is a fast area control game set in the world of Legend of the Five Rings: take command of the Crab, Crane, Dragon, Lion, Phoenix, Scorpion or Unicorn, recruit samurai heroes, draft orders and build a clan tableau that rewards clever timing as much as brute force. Constant interaction, no long downtime, and a different battle for Toshi Ranbo every time. Plays in under an hour, from 2 to 6 players.
